Land East of Basingstoke
The strategic framework developed for this HCC site for the Issues & Options stage of the Basingstoke Local Plan facilitated new active travel routes, a primary school, large scale public open spaces as well as a range of residential types including family homes, sheltered housing and apartments over commercial uses.
Twyford Neighbourhood Plan
This team preparing the Twyford Neighbourhood Plan wanted to inspire potential developers of the only housing site in the village that it could deliver so much more than just standard housing - these options included a range of types of home, new walking routes to the village centre, and extended community facility and reduced visual impact, all whilst working on a slope!
North Whiteley Extension
At Spindrift we actually enjoy writing Design & Access Statements. Helping architecture, planning and technical specialists to convey their process effectively and using that role to act as a critical friend in the design process is really enjoyable. We're working with our partners at The Core Design to do that on a residential site in North Whiteley.
Marina Developments Limited
Spindrift specialises in marine masterplanning, and we've worked on a large range of projects for the team at MDL, from feasibility testing of client projects to reviewing their own sites across the UK. Always aiming to bring the principles of high quality urban design into these complex working, and often publicly accessible, spaces.
Kuwait Western Sub Region
We have spent a lot of time 'thinking big'. Spindrift have worked on two sub regional plans in Kuwait, which focus on strategic networks and frameworks for more detailed individual development projects.
RSPB Pulborough Brooks
The RSPB's reserve at Pulborough Brooks is known for its incredible views across the Arun Valley, and Spindrift have been supporting the team in developing a vision and framework masterplan to support development projects across the site since 2018.
Southampton Science Park
Spindrift undertook a comprehensive analysis and visioning exercise in preparation for development of a long term masterplan for this complex site. Its location on the edge of Southampton, but within a neighbouring district, and its limited public transport connectivity has required a focus on alternative transport options.
