Spindrift Consulting is owned by Jody Sanders, a qualified urban designer, planner and lifelong sailor. Spindrift combines her passion for masterplanning and project management with her love of travel and the marine environment. It also gave her the opportunity to wear flip flops to work, ride her bike to site meetings and indulge her love of Apple IT products!

Having spent over ten years working in commercial urban design practise for Halcrow and Savills, Jody now provides urban design and planning support to a range of clients both in the UK and internationally, and specialises in marine projects where developers need to understand the design challenges and user aspirations of this unique environment.

Clients over the last ten years have included the public and private sector, major house builders, regeneration vehicles and individual land owners. Anyone who has sat in a stakeholder workshop session with Jody will know that her specialty is getting everyone pulling in the same direction, and identifying and managing progress towards a practical solution.

Jody’s understanding of the marine environment and network of contacts within both user groups and marine industry professionals is extensive, ensuring that if she doesn’t know the answer – she’ll know someone who does!

...and when she isn't doing all of that Jody can be found helping her husband stick large stickers on boats, knitting something or campaigning various racing yachts on the Solent and abroad. Jody is also a regular competitor at the Little Britain Challenge Cup.
